Skroutz Black Friday Report 2022: The average basket price of Skroutz increased by 38.84% compared to 2021. While volume or orders remained unchanged, but basket prices increased compared to 2021.

Skroutz, the #1 marketplace in Greece, presents the Black Friday 2022 Report, an assessment of online shopping traffic on skroutz.gr during this year’s Black Friday. This report is a study of how consumers’ purchases evolved, the product categories chosen the most, and the families in which users made the most of the offers and discounts.

According to the data analyzed by Skroutz’s Business Intelligence Team, there was an impressive increase in the average basket price, which increased by 38.84% compared to 2021. In terms of price trends, a total of 25.01% of products were purchased at a lower price, while only 9.32% of products were purchased at higher prices compared to the week of November 13-17.

The total platform visits during the Black Friday week exceeded 10 million, while the volume of orders this year reached almost 600,000. It is worth mentioning that 1 in 4 orders (25% of all orders) was delivered to one of the 500 Skroutz Points in Athens and Thessaloniki, which proves the confidence of consumers in this pick-up option which has been fully integrated into the 

Skroutz Black Friday: Favorite categories 

“Home/Garden”, “Technology” and “Fashion” categories are among the most popular, as they were at the centre of consumer interest, with the highest percentage of traffic. However, “Health and Beauty” category had the highest number of orders this year (first place with a percentage of 23.40%). As for the categories with the highest purchases in discount, the one that captivated the interest of consumers is the “Children’s Dresses” category’.

Finally, consumers took advantage of “Instalments for All” programme with flexible payment methods. In particular, on Black Friday, there was a 10% increase in turnover for purchases made through the “Instalments for All” programme, compared to the week of 14/11 to 20/11 (the week immediately preceding Black Friday).
